We built our own site the same way we build for clients. Deliberate architecture, real SEO strategy, and content that earns traffic rather than just describing services. Next.js 16 App Router on Vercel, with a structured approach to geo-targeted service pages and technical foundations most agency sites skip.
Problem
- A brand new domain with zero authority and no indexed content beyond the homepage.
- Homepage absorbing all search traffic with no dedicated pages for target keywords.
- www and non-www variants splitting domain authority as separate URLs in Google Search Console.
- Three pages sharing identical title tags, creating keyword cannibalization across the site.
- No service or location pages meant every query pointed at the homepage, diluting topical relevance.
Solution
- Resolved www/non-www duplication with a Vercel 301 redirect and canonical tag in the root layout.
- Fixed keyword cannibalization by giving every page a unique title tag and meta description.
- Built a /services directory with four dedicated pages targeting primary keywords and service areas.
- Structured service page copy to separate geo signals into metadata while keeping hero copy audience-agnostic.
- Added a Services column to the footer and a Services dropdown in the nav for crawlability and user access.
- Established a consistent content pattern across all case study and service pages for scalable expansion.
- Implemented a booking integration via Microsoft 365 with dual CTAs across all service pages.
Results
- All four service pages indexed and crawlable within days of deployment.
- Zero keyword cannibalization across the site after title tag fixes.
- www variant eliminated from Search Console, full authority consolidated to non-www.
- Footer and nav now surface all service pages to both users and search crawlers.
- Foundation in place for schema markup, backlink building, and content expansion.
